Installing iDVD from a disc

Hello all,

I recently installed a drive with OSX Lion. I tried to install iDVD but I couldn’t succeed.

On one of my friend’s suggestion, I purchased an ilife install disc from amazon. It was installed successfully but when I tried to launch it ended up in an error.

The screenshot of the error is attached below:

The error says:

Disk Utility Progress

Unable to create “iLife ’11 Install DVD.dmg.” (Input/output error)

Your help is required to solve the issue. Any suggestions are most welcome.

Installing iDVD from a disc

Hi,

I will help you to run iDVD. From the image given, it is clear that you were trying to make a disc image of iLife Suite in Disk Utility. It is not a problem of Mac OS X Lion. Either the iLife disc is corrupted or your optical drive is not working. Try using a new drive or use a new iLife software.
