Installation error on Office 2013 64bit in Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation x64

Hello,

 

I tried installing Office 2013 64bit in Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation x64 with this setup: X17 Setup.X64.en-US_O365HomePremRetail_90f18966-ae87-4831-a944-7e58f8f7e176__TX_SG_.exe but encountered this error.

 

We’re sorry, but we can’t verify the signature of files required to install your Office product.

We need to verify these signatures to keep your computer safe. Please retry installing product or, if installation continues to fail, try re-downloading your installer if you got it online. Make sure you only download Office products from a trusted source.

In checking the setup log file I found 1’Bootstrapper (20120903043109794).log' I wasted a lot of time on this until I downloaded a full packaged MSI file which I intend to try and install.

Any ideas that can help resolve this?

Hello there,
 
You should clean your temporary internet files. To do that, open your Control Panel-Internet Options and under the General tab click Delete browsing history. On the list check Temporary internet files box and click delete.
 
 
If you still get the error, you will have to change the name of the installation package when downloading. Start redownloading the installer and when asked where and how to save the file, rename it to something else.
