Increase mobile phone’s audio output

I am using a Samsung Galaxy Ace smartphone on Android 2.2. But the speaker seems a bit soft. I would want to increase the volume (loudness) of the device. Is there a way to do this on the software side without altering the hardware of the device itself, knowing it will void my warranty. Thank you.

Hi,

Yes there is a software for android that will boost the loudness of the phone. Although it only generates 30% boost, it is still a good application that doesn't require hardware modification or difficult firmware revisioning. The name of the App is Volume Boost and it can be purchased from market.android.com for only $1.99. What it actually does is unlock the volume limitation of your device. Apparently, you can only use this Application with a headset or any device connected to the line-output of your phone. The Setup is as easy as 1-2-3. Just buy and download the Application from the website (market.android.com), install the program to your phone and access the Volume Boost App. Also, please make sure that the headset or speaker is properly connected to the line-out port of the device.

Here is a sample image of the Application

Raising the audio output of your Android phone is quite dangerous as it can damage your phone’s speakers. First option is to increase the volume limiter. On your Android phone, go to “Settings,” “Sounds and vibration” then “Volume.” Next, tap the three vertical dots located on the upper right corner of the screen then select “Media volume limiter.”

If the volume limiter is off, tap the slider next to “Off” to turn the limiter on. Once the volume limiter is up, under “Custom volume limit,” move the slider all the way to the right. If you are not satisfied with the result, next option is to adjust the equalizer settings.

Go back to “Sounds and vibration” then go to “Advanced sound settings” and then “Sound quality and effects.” From here, you can adjust different settings to make the audio louder. You can tap the “Equalizer” and select the genre you want. Another option is to use an app. Download Volume Booster GOODEV.

The latest version at the moment, Volume Booster GOODEV 6.8.1, requires Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and higher. Before downloading, check the user reviews to have a little background on what to expect on the app.
