I use Mozilla Firefox for surfing internet. I installed IDM (internet download manager), but it didn’t appear in Firefox. I mean, the download button didn’t appear on the page. When I opened the Add-Ons, it says, IDM doesn't support. What does it mean? What should I do?
Many people these days are facing problems with Firefox add-ons. Old IDM works only with Firefox 1.5 – 3.6. If you want to make your IDM work on your Firefox, you will have to downgrade Firefox 4 to Firefox 3.6. That means to go to Add Remove Programs and to uninstall Firefox 4. Make sure you don’t delete your bookmarks. So when you are prompted, keep that.
Another option is to get new IDM which is compatible with Firefox 4. It can be found here:

Open that page in your browser and click Install button. When you're done, restart your browser and IDM should work with Firefox 4.

Some newer versions of Mozilla Firefox do not support IDM. It seems that you are using newer versions of Firefox. Uninstall Newer versions of Firefox and install an older version, as there are not much difference in new and old versions of Firefox, then install IDM.
What is the version of your Mozilla Firefox and IDM? Try the following workarounds to fix it:
1. Click the Options in your IDM. Ensure that the Mozilla Firefox option is checked on the IDM Configuration box.
2. Click "Customize IDM menu items in context menu of browser" and ensure that the options for Mozilla Firefox are all checked.
3. Under Customize IDM Download panels in browser windows, ensure that the following is also checked:
4. Select Tools and then click Add-ons. Check if the IDM add-on is enabled. Click Enable if it is set to Disable.Â
Note: If the IDM cannot be set to Enable, it means the add-on is not compatible with your browser. Update your IDM to the latest version.
It is compatible with Firefox 11-16. Uninstall IDM before installing this new version.
