Hallo Olivia,

That is an error due to compatibility issues with your system. You will therefore need  to ensure that your Windows Server meets the specifications that have been specified in the error message. You will need to upgrade the system to service pack 2.

Hello Olivia Aust ,

Hope that my message finds you well.

First you should install Windows Server 2008 Service before you continue the installation as the following:

–       Insert “Windows Server 2008 installation” from CD/ HDD/ Flash.

You can download it from the following URL:

–       Restart your computer.

–       Choose your installation language then press next.

–       Press “install now” to start the installation.

–       You should enter “Product ID” or automatically activate windows and click next.

–       You can activate the program later.

–       You can select your correct version in the next screen.

–       When the server restarts press ctrl -> alt –> del

–       Choose the new password

–       You can start now.

Hope this solution will help.

Kind regards,

This is obviously a compatibility issue because you are installing it on the wrong platform or operating system. The version you are installing requires Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and your operating system is definitely not the platform the program is expecting.

But if you are using Windows Server 2008 and you receive this error, you are probably using Service Pack 1. To fix the problem, download Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and install it to update your operating system. This is also the same Service Pack you install on Microsoft Windows Vista to update to Service Pack 2.

Before updating to Service Pack 2, you need to have Service Pack 1 first and luckily, when Windows Server 2008 was released, Service Pack 1 is already included. Now, if you are not using Windows Server 2008 but you want to install Data LifeSaver, you can download the Data LifeSaver Home Edition. It supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.

Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 are not supported.
