I have newly installed a Windows 8 upgraded from Windows 7 and have been using it for one day without any problem. But unfortunately when I turn on my laptop just this morning it started up with scanning and nothings happen for three hours. So I've tried to restart it but the same things happen… What is the problem on this?

Hello Angela,

If this is the first time a full scan is being performed on your system since you upgraded the operating system then it is reasonable why it is taking so long to finish. It could be because the scanner has a lot of new files to scan and therefore the reason why it is taking too long, but the next time you scan it should take a shorter time.

If the same slow speed of scanning continues, you will need to do the following:

  • Connect you computer to the internet.
  • Perform a system update so that the old files that may be causing slow performance of the system will be removed.
  • Make sure that you restart the computer after the system update is complete.

Regards,

Carl

Dear User,

I would recommend you to wait the scanning process.  Let it finish the scanning. If it doesn’t progress anymore try task manager and ending the process.

Then restart your computer and see if the problem exists.

If you are still experiencing this problem, I would recommend you to uninstall the scanner and reinstall it.

Or try a different version of the application.

Thank you
