Good day fellow members. I have an employee records database mdb file in Access that I saved as an MDE file. I now cannot edit the database, it seems that the user interface for modifying modules has been disabled. How do I enable it so I can edit and modify employee records mdb file?

According to your problem, do you make the MDE file on another computer? It seems that your MDE file is not compatible with Access you are using to open this file. Maybe because you are using a different version of Access like you made the MDE file in a higher version while you're trying to open and edit it to a lower version. There some features of in the higher version that don't have in a lower version.
Here are some ways to solve your problem:
Open the MDE file on the same computer where you made this.
Open the MDE file on the same version you use to do this.
Make sure that your Access application is installed correctly and completely without any error encountered during installation.
