I am receiving “Error 1075” message.

I have no restore points in my computer as my hard drive died and had to be replaced. I reloaded windows and everything else but still unable to create a restore point.

When I open security center I get the message.

Security center is currently unavailable because the security center service has not started or was stopped.

If I go to services and double click on security center, set startup type to automatic and service status to start, I get:

Microsoft Management Console

Could not start the Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows NT/2000 service on Local Computer.

Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion.

When you try to start your computer browser service and receive an error message such as you mentioned above, that simply means that you have error 1075 with your system. The flaw of Windows service marked for deletion prevents the updating of the windows software. You can easily cover this error. All you need is to reboot your system and restart the security service center. If the problem still persists then you can try following steps to go through the problem…

1. Click Start and then choose “Run”. Write “services.msc” in Run and ok. After the services registry dialogue box opens. You can locate the WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) command.

2. Click at least two times on WMI. These steps make sure that you can remove the error “the specific service has been marked for deletion.”

3. In the WMI Drive Extension modify the “Startup type” choice to “Automatic”.

4. Now click start and then okay.

5. Finally, reboot windows.
