I am getting an error in my Windows Update in Windows 7. The error is windows update error code 80072f8f server 2008 r2. All I have done recently is installing the Windows Server 2008 R2.
Can someone please help me in fixing this error?

Your problem of not being able to perform the Windows Update might be related to the certification issue. So, I suggest you verify the Root CA certificate to be present there.
Firstly, exportyour GTE Cyber Trust Global Root Certificate from some other server in the form of type. P7B file and then just transfer it to the server. After that, import it to the trusted root certification authority. Then, check it by visiting the website https://www.update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx and then the certificate warning will not appear. Then, run the Windows Updates again and sure enough, it will start to download the remaining updates.
