As your answer is a bit ambiguous i m going to answer all the queries that you "might" be asking. If you want to open text files that are present in the jar file then just open the file using WinRAR on your computer and then copy paste the file on the iPod. Open the file on the iPad using normal text viewer.

Secondly if you want to run the jar file on the iPod then it's not possible as iOs does not support jar files.

Cheers tc.

The JAR file (.jar) is a Java file or a Java application. If you have a Java app and you want to install or run it on your iPod touch or iPad, unfortunately, this is not possible. The Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or any other iOS device will not ever support Java.

There is a JavaScript app available in the Apple App Store but it is mainly used for JavaScript programming. It doesn’t run JAR files. If you want to run a specific Java app, there are Android phones that support Java but not all. Before you buy a new Android Smartphone, check the specifications of the device if Java is supported.

If a particular Android phone supports Java, it can definitely run JAR files. On the other hand, if you already have an Android phone but it doesn’t support Java, alternatively you can install an app called Java Manager. This will allow you to run Java apps (*.jar) on your Android phone as well as compile or decompile your own Java programs.
