Is there a way to lock and avoid changes to HP Protect Tools? Let's say changes to browser settings when somebody opens a website. I don’t one other people or applications change the configurations I set. Unfortunately the laptop I am using is also used by other guys in the office.
Thanks.
How to lock HP ProtectTools?
Â
Go to the Start menu, select "All Programs" and click "HP ProtectTools Security Manager" from the programs list. This will bring up the HP Protect Tools window.
Â
Click "Settings." Clicking this will bring up a new menu on the right side.
Â
Turn on elements of HP Protect Tools by clicking the box on the tool name. A tool is turned on when a green check appears in the box. It is off when the box is empty.
Â
Close the HP Protect Tools window.
Â
Restart the computer to ensure that the new settings are working.
