I was installing VIPRE Internet Security 2012 Home when the process was interrupted by this error alert:
The procedure entry point decode pointer could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll. I hope someone out there knows how to fix it.

If your Operating System is Windows XP and find this error message during installation of VIPRE Internet Security 2012 Home, you will have to install Windows XP service pack 2 or Windows XP service pack 3. For instructions and commands on how to download and install the most recent service pack to your Windows XP system.

Mostly this error occurs when setup detect another antivirus inside system. First of all remove the previous antivirus installed in your system and then clear all temp files from system.
Then Install VIPRE Internet Security 2012. It will work.
