Hello!

I need some assistance with my NET Framework. You see, I recently installed parallels in my Mac and my computer that is running on Windows 7. Now, I need to install and the application that requires NET Framework.

I tried downloading NET Framework from Microsoft’s site but I got this message: "C:UsersAdministratorAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsTemporary Internet FilesContent.IE55SOFW5UAdotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application".

I was wondering if you know what this means and if there’s something I could do to address my concern.

I hope you can help me. Thank you.

Hello William,

The .NET Framework that you download might be not the right one for the windows version that you are using. If you are using a windows 7 32 bit operating system then you will need to download a .NET Framework program that is a 32 bit too for it to install successfully on the computer that you are using. The same case should apply for a windows 7 64 bit; use .NET framework 64 bit for it. If you try to mix then it will totally not work.

So just Google for the right version of the .NET framework for your computer, download it and install it on your computer. That should work.
