I am a new Mac user who have a new Macbook 2012 and downloaded an antivirus on it. And the only problem that gets me confused is how to turn on the Antivirus that I've downloaded into a protection mode?

Just to be clear, do you mean that you want to turn on an antivirus that you have installed on a Windows system that is installed on your MacBook Pro?
