I have the latest version of Mozilla Firefox installed and with it came Firefox hello, a messaging app. What I really do not understand about this app is where it is to fetch contacts. There is an ‘import contacts’ button but whenever I click on it, nothing happens. I have also tried to install contacts manually but whenever I click on it, it just disappears. How does this app work and how different is it from Google hangouts?
How do I configure Firefox hello
When you want to add a contact in Firefox Hello, the prerequisite is that the contact must have a Firefox account. If you try and add a contact or import contacts that don’t have a Firefox account, it will fail.
Below I have listed the steps to follow to manage your contact list:
-
Click on the Firefox Hello button, which is located on the Menu bar.
-
Log into your Firefox account and click on the Contacts tab which is located on the top right hand corner.
-
To add a contact manually, click on New Contact. A window will open where you can add the name and email address of the contact.
-
To import contacts automatically from your Google Account, click on the Import button. In the window that opens up, type in your Google credential and follow the on-screen instructions.
-
From the arrow next to a contact’s name, you can edit contact details, block a contact or delete a contact
