How can I remove NVIDIA driver Mountain Lion 10.8.1?

Hallo Guys!

I am having a problem with my NVIDIA drivers after installing NVIDIA driver Mountain Lion 10.8.1. My drivers were just working fine until I ran this driver version release. Now the display on my laptop is really terrible, yes, it looks like some painting of sorts. What can I do to recover my previous display? Every time that I try to update the driver I am told that I have the latest drivers installed.

Hi,

The information you have provided is somewhat incomplete as I cannot tell if the driver update that you made in your MAC has met the system requirements. It is also possible that the cause of the problem is due to incompatible hardware.

The minimum system requirement for this driver release are as follows:

1. Your MAC should be Pro3,1 (2008), Pro4,1 (2009), Pro5,1 (2010) or later

2. Mac OS X vv10.8.1

While the supported VGA hardware should be the following:

1. GeForce 200 series: GTX 285 for MAC

2. GeForce 100 series: GT 120

3. GeForce 8 series: 8800 GT

4. Quadro series: 4000 for MAC

5. Quadro FX series: FX 5600, 4800 for MAC

If the above requirements have met, there should be no problem.  Now, if you want to restore back your original driver you can check the step by step procedure here. From the Additional Information tab you can see the instructions on how to uninstall and restore your original driver.

Hello Gracekmakris,

                        As you know that if you want to use the updated version then you have to pay for it then it will work fine because most of the things that are available as new always in a trail period for the use to test the things. If you want to remove that version then you need to use "REVO UNISTALLER" software that can help you in removing anything from your PC. After that you have to install the old version that you have  to make your system work correctly. There is the link from where you can get the "REVO UNISTALLER" software for removing.
