I got this Mac machine from a friend and I am wondering what the DIZ files that I see really are and how to open them. I have tried to open them using a number of softwares but none of them really opens that file system. What are DIZ format Mac files and how can I open them? Is there a particular software that I can use for this? Thanks.

The easiest way to open DIZ files is to double click on it and the PC will decide which default application should open the file. if the Diz files doesn't open is either you did not install an application that can view and/or edit it. Anyway DIZ files are a little different though and no program probably associates a DIZ file with a particular application, they are just simple text files. as i had stated, open any text editor and browse the Diz file to view.
The proper way to resolve the problem you are having, is to convert the Diz files into another format.
1. Opening the DIZ file in its native program is preferable because it's both easier and will probably result in a more accurate file conversions. since they are just text files, but if you have a DIZ file that might be of another format, "converting" the file might be something you're after.
