Hi,

I am facing a problem regarding WMA support for Mozilla. I am using Mozilla Firefox browser with Microsoft Windows Media Player Firefox plug-in 1.0.0.8 installed. But when I visit any web page containing WMA supported files and play any WMA file format then no sound is audible. How do I test if the above plug-in I mentioned is working correctly or not? Please tell me the possible causes for this problem?

Thanks.

Hello,

I visited the Firefox official page and this is what they recommend:

1. Go to Tools -> Add-ons. Now you'll see Add-ons Window.

2. Find and click Plug-ins panel.

3. In Plugins panel finds a Windows Media Player plug-in.

4. Select it and click deactivate, wait for 2-3 seconds and click again to Activate it.

5. Restart Firefox and see if your problem is fixed.

Hello Timothy Raine,

You may be facing the problem of your add-ons crashing, so first disable and then re-enable the add-ons. After that, restart Firefox, then check that is able to play the WMA file. If this doesn’t solve your problem, remove the add-ons and install it again, then the problem should be solved. If the problem is still not solved, uninstall Mozilla Firefox and install the latest version of Firefox, then install the latest Flash player and Shockwave player.

Then, install the add-ons again, and your problem should be solved.

Now, enjoy the WMA audio in your browser.
