Hello!

I'm new to your site. I have a hard drive which I am using at this moment and it had bad sectors. But I cleared them using "Hard Drive Regenerator 2011".

Now it is working. But, when I try to copy some files into my pen drive, my computer automatically restarted. I have lots of important data to get. Help me to solve this.

Thanks.

Hi Rohitha,

Maybe this could help your problem. Follow the steps I give you.

1st step – Insert your hard drive on to anther computer and make sure that  it is slave to the other hard drive.

2nd step – Copy the important files from your hard drive and paste it to the other hard drive.

or

Maybe your computer is virus infected. If you have an Antivirus on your computer, you better scan your hard drive using you Antivirus. Make sure that your Antivirus is updated. Or if you don't have an Antivirus on you computer, you must download an Antivirus that is suitable for your computer.  You can download an Antivirus from the Microsoft website. Make  sure that your operating system is a genuine product.

Goodluck!

Thanks

That application you downloaded only tries to revive or fix damaged sectors on your hard drive by marking them as bad. The program does not actually revive bad sectors because there is no such program that can completely fix a damaged sector on a hard drive.

The only thing a program can do when a broken sector is detected is to patch it to prevent Windows from writing again to that particular sector. Bad sectors are a normal thing on a hard drive. It will appear whether you like it or not. It can appear if the hard drive is old and failing.

You can use PC Tools Performance Toolkit to fix the broken sectors of your hard drive. Once installed, start PC Tools then go to “Recovery” tab and click “Repair Drives”. On the next screen, select the drive you want to test then select “Surface Scan” among the options and check “Perform on reboot” and then click “Start” to begin the test.

Click “Continue” then restart the computer. The test will be performed on startup. If the test detected bad sectors, repeat the test over and over until it no longer detects bad sectors.
