GPS track number error message

I was trying to put a location in my GPS and suddenly it gave a prompt that,

"The track drive to Assabet River boat launch has an invalid track number (8). Your Lowrance GlobalMap 100 uses track numbers 0 – 2. Edit your tracks so that all track numbers are within this range."

I do not how what this means or how to solve this because I am just a newbie in using this GPS.

If anyone knows how to fix this just send me a message.

Hi Richard!

It must be really frustrating for you, when you receive that error message. Here's how you can setup your GPS location:

  • To save your present location, press the WPT key once. (If you want to save a cursor position, move your cursor to the desired location, press WPT key.)
  • Highlight the WPT label at the top of the screen.
  • Press the right or left arrow keys, until the desired number appears.  This is where you can save your current or cursor location under.
  • Select CREATE WPT.
  • Highlight CURRENT POS ; then press right arrow key. It will return to the screen, with the position saved under the selected number.

Note: You can save the position on any number, even if a position is already stored on the desired number.
