While trying to install google Sketchup I kept getting the error:

I receive this error message when I try to install Google Sketchup on a windows 7 x64 machine.

Google SketchUp 8 Setup

An error occurred during the installation of assembly

'Microsoft.VC80.MFC, type="win32", version="8.0.50727

.4053", publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processor

Architecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support

Google Sketchup 8 Installation Error

Hello,

You can try this two solutions that may be helpful. First turn off your Antivirus Software, Windows features and Microsoft .Net Framework using services.msc. Start->Run type services.msc. Then install Google SketchUp and turn on Microsoft .Net Framework again. Restart the computer.

Or try to get and install new Windows Installer. Click Start->Run and type CMD. Then type sfc /scannow line. This will verify the integrity of every protected operating system file. For installing Windows Installer insert you CD/DVD with Windows 7, restart computer and boot from CD/DVD.
