Fujitsu ScanSnap S1100 not recognized by laptop and desktop

We’ve been having this issue since we reformatted our computer. We are using Windows 7 both laptop and desktop. We installed this scanner but it shows USB device not recognized message. Can you tell us what could be causing this issue? Can you provide us on how to install this device in both platforms? Can you provide us also alternative resolution for this problem? Pleas assist us in this problem. Any suggestions would be of great help.

Try to remove the drivers and then install it, Also try to Disconnect all of  USB devices connected, Such as USB mouse, Keyboard or a game pad, Some times the drivers are conflicting, Causing the scanner not working properly, Also try to clear caches and registries while reinstalling the drivers, This is called clean installation. You should try using the scanner with different laptop, So you can find out where is the problem coming from.
