Final Cut Pro Instrument track error

It seems that the program already reached its allowed maximum number of tracks for the current project. If your project is divided into many different tracks, it seems at this point you can no longer create more cuts because the program already reached its limit. The restriction for the number of tracks that can be created may depend on the amount of RAM installed on your computer.

Every track you add on your project consumes memory and the more tracks you add the greater memory it consumes. So if you have a lower RAM capacity you will easily reach the maximum limit. The best way to avoid this from happening again in the future is to add more RAM on your computer.

Since you can no longer add more tracks on the current project, just save it and then create another project. If in case this error prevents you from saving the current work, try deleting some tracks and then try saving it again. If you still can’t save it, delete another track and then save it again. Just continue this cycle until you can finally save your project.

You may also upgrade your version to Final Cut Pro X 10.0.8 if you are using a slightly old one. Visit Final Cut Pro X to download the trial version. This will give you 30 days of free usage. It supports Mac OS X 10.6.8, 10.7.5, until 10.8.3.
