I was searching for anti-spyware software when I found this SUPERAntiSpyware which offers a free download. I downloaded the Free Edition in my Windows XP machine. But during the installation process, I encountered the following error message: “Error starting service ("F:WINDOWSsystem32.EXE"/s "F:ProgramFilesSUPERAntiSpywareSASWINLO.DLL), aborting installation.” How can I fix this?

Dear Liza chassin,

According to the error message you got while installing SUPERAntiSpyware, try to redownload and install again from one of these alternative links:

SUPERAntiSpyware FREE Edition Installer: https://www.superantispyware.com/download.html

SUPERAntiSpyware Professional Installer:

If you installed it successfully but it simply couldn’t run, try to visit here and follow the instructions given.

After all the previous steps, if you still couldn’t have SUPERAntiSpyware running successfully,

Try to download and run the following program:

Now, after installation, try to fully scan your PC because you may have an infection that targets SUPERAntiSpyware and prevents it from installation and running.

Hope this may help you.

Best of luck.

I don’t think you have a compatibility problem here. Your operating system is pretty much supported by this software. But I really got confused in the installation path of your operating system. How come Windows XP is installed on drive F if it is supposed to be installed on the default drive which is drive C.

Even if how many drives are partitioned in your hard drive, I think installing your operating system, Windows XP, on drive F rather than in drive C is not a good idea. Although some applications will not complain about its location, but I’m pretty sure that there are others that will really give you headaches.

If that drive F is a network drive, I think that’s the reason why it cannot be installed. Maybe it doesn’t support installation on network drives and maybe in flash drives as well. Try installing this application on drive C instead of drive F.

And if you are using the older version, try upgrading to the latest version. The latest versions are SUPERAntiSpyware Professional and SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition. You can download any of them at http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html

SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition doesn’t include real-time blocking.
