Hello community,
Being a statistics student, I wanted to install SPSS to complete my thesis but when I started installing SPSS 17.0, I was met with an error on my screen.
The screenshot of the error is as follows:
The error message says:
SPSS Statistics 17.0 Installer Information
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component
{9BAE13A2-E7AF-D6C3-A01F-C8B389A1E18E}. HRESULT:
0x800736CC
Can anyone please tell me what does this error mean?
I don’t know what is happening and what is the root cause behind the error.
Your comments and suggestions are most welcome.
Please help me as soon as you can as I have to complete my thesis.

Try to follow these steps, maybe it could help you.
So, to resolve your problem, fix Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 installation. Click the Start, the Control Panel and go to uninstall a program under program. Click the Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 in the list and click the repair at the top. Next, Download and install .Net Framework version 2.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=1639). Reinstall the Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1.

Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Redistributable Package (x86) on your system. You can visit Microsoft Download Center for the download.Â
