Error exporting data to Excel through Alphablox

Microsoft Office Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This is the content of the error box I am receiving.

This started when trying to export data to Excel through IBM DB2 Alphablox. What should be the cause of it?

I have read that this may be due when setting up Excel to use Essbase Add-on in Excel.

My question is how will I manage to fix it?

That may be a problem that is being caused by disk permissions and you will need to repair it as follows:

  1. You will go to the Go menu, and from there look for Utilities, and click on it.
  2. Next you will need to start the Disk Utility program.
  3. And then you will click the primary hard disk drive for your computer.
  4. Next you will look for the First Aid tab and then click on it.
  5. Locate the Repair Disk Permissions and click on it to start the repair process.

After the disk permission repair process is complete you should be able to use excel without a problem.
