Error on Downloading Celigo SmartClient

I got some issues on NetSuite Version 2009.1. It cannot download the SmartClient template and show the drop down values. Followed by this is the column with a warning stating that the SmartClient is unable to retrieve select-values for this column. What is the cause of this error? Can someone please cite some ideas so it can help me fix it? Thank you.

In NetSuite Version 2009.1, the web service will only bring the drop down values for speific fields that exists in the NetSuite interface. Which means, if the original form that is assigned to your login does not have a specific field from the SmartClient template, it will not be able to download and show the drop down values. That is why you are receiving the error.

To gain access to the field, as a NetSuite admin to alter the necessary form for the record type to a form that contains the field. Click on the Custom Settings icon and select one of the following option under the popup window:

1. Use Custom Form – State a custom form that includes the field in question. SmartClient will use that form for retrieving values.

2. Mark as Read-Only – This will display the values on the current records. Changes made to the field will be ignored while running update.

3. Advanced Options – This will mark the field as sourced from a different field.

4. Advanced Options – Choose a standard list of values to utilize for the drop down area.
