Error 1719: Unable to Access Windows Installer on Citrix Receiver

Hello TechyV buddies!

I have installed Receiver Enterprises Edition using a command line which works well.

Here is the command that I have used:

“CitrixReceiverEnterprise.exe /silent /includeSSON SERVER_LOCATION="https://myserver/Citrix/PNAgent/config.xml" ENABLE_SSON="Yes" STARTMENUDIR="Citrix"

However, every time I add it as post installation task on my windows 7 scripted install image using the Kace K2100 deployment Appliance, I often encounter an error:

“Product: Citrix Receiver(USB) — Error 1719. The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed”

It only shows that it was installed just half of it and It is not functioning. It also doesn’t show up in the program files and features in removing it don’t show up.

Can anyone tell me what went wrong with the installation or what could have caused this problem?

I would appreciate any help. Thank you!

Print service error 808 followed by a 372 error

Error 1719: Unable to Access Windows Installer on Citrix Receiver

Hello Cromwell,

The error you are getting might occur in the event that you try to run the installation via an RDP connection.

Note that when you try to install applications into a streamed profile with the use of an RDP connection to the server or workstation it might lead to unexpected results.

Resolution

In case you are installing an application into a Streaming Profile, then you will need to run the application setup program on the console to which it is being created.

If you want to run the installation via an RDP connection, you will have to open your connection via the < /console > switch: That will enable the connection to the session logged on at the console, for instance, mstsc /console

Regards,

Carl
