Hello experts,

Why do I receive the following error message?

Windows Media Player has encountered a problem.

Error:

System Protection     
     
There was an unexpected error in the property page:     
     
The transfer syntax is not supported by the RPC server.     
(0x800706C2)     
     
Please close the property page and try again.

What should I do? Need a solution to solve this.

I have never encountered a problem with Windows Media Player that is related to an RPC server that is not being supported. But if you really got this error while using Windows Media Player, try closing the application and then open it again and see if you will get the same error again. If the same problem pops up, try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application when checking the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities, PC Tools Performance Toolkit, or Norton SystemWorks.
