Hi! Why do I have this problem that my files do not open properly when I download them from the internet through an email? I have the required software to open a specific file and it should open properly. But every time it shows an error. Is this some kind of security check or is there a problem with my computer/software?
Email attachments not opening properly
Be cautious while opening files from your email, messages or from any such source, because it may have some malicious data attached to it, which in this case is called Trojan.
Check if the file type is supported by AOL software.
It can open only certain file formats. To know the file type
1. Click File menu and click Download Manager.
2. From the list of downloaded files, just click the desired file that you would like to open.
3. In the File Information section which is present at the right panel, note the file extension.
