I reinstalled Direct X 9 a few days after I had uninstalled it. When I try to play a movie I see an error preventing the movie from opening. The error is attached below. What are all the possible causes of this error?

Error message:

Not all Filters can connect properly. IF the Filter listed above is an “Additional Filter”, try unchecking it in the Options Dialog. For more Information, press on the verify Selected Setup” button within the “Options -> DVD Setup” dialog.

Direct X is a Microsoft API which handles games, multi media and videos. But the error you mentioned is not with Direct X, But with a video player. I believe it is Power DVD.  You did not mention which operating system you are using and also your display card details.  Try using  other filters and disable hardware acceleration. It should solve the problem. Otherwise, revert back with more information on graphics card, RAM info. Thank you. TechyV.
