Connection error couldn’t connect to O&O Defrag Agent

In running the TCP Port 50300 I am getting an error message which if translated looks like the following,

Network error or -warning occurred
Connection error
couldn’t connect to O&O Defrag Agent. Maybe the O&O defrag-service isn't started.

This can be started via windows service management console.
Data incorrect.”

I have already tried almost every possible methods like uninstalling and reinstalling. But no method worked.

I need help.

Please help me to solve this.

Hello…james,

This problem happens because of two main reasons

1.       You haven’t installed .Net framework 1.1

2.       Program is blocked by the System’s “firewall”

First of all check whether .Net framework 1.1 is installed to your computer,

If it is No,

Then you should install it to the computer because it is necessary to have .Net frame work 1.1 when using the O&O program.

If it is yes,

Then check whether your system’s “Firewall” blocks program (O&O program depends on the TCP/IP).

If firewall is blocking the program then disable the Firewall or click “Unblock”

One of these actions will solve your problem.
