Connecting iPad to a wireless network printer

I want to purchase an iPad, but before going to the store to buy one, I just like to get inputs from other people on how can this gadget connect to the wireless printer HP Officejet  6500A Plus that I have already on the home network. At present, I’m using a Dell Inspiron laptop. The fact that an iPad is somewhat a standalone device, is it possible for standalone devices such as iPad to have a driver so it can be connected to a network printer that is wireless? I’m concerned that even though the iPad can connect to my home network, it will not automatically recognize the printer

Connecting iPad to a wireless network printer

Hello Bartholome,

If you have a Wi-Fi network set up on the network you are using aside from the cable network, then the ipad should successfully connect to the printer, as long as both devices have the Wi-Fi turned on.

With the ipad, but first make sure that you have configured the settings so that it can be used in the wireless network, you can just go to the printer options, printers and faxes options and then search the network for the wireless printers that are attached on the network. The printer, which also should be well configured to use the network, will be found by the ipad, and then you can make it the default printer and use it for printing your documents.
