I have a brand new computer system with pre-installed Lotus Notes; however, it is not yet configured.
How can I set up the Lotus Notes?
And from what source I could set up the Lotus Notes without having to enter the new direct messaging?
Here is the procedure how to configure lotus notes:
On your computer, you will click Start, and then All Programs, and then Lotus Applications. Click Lotus Notes to open it.Â
Click Next on the welcome page.
Enter the user ID for Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes and enter the name of the user's home/mail Domino server, and then choose 'I want to connect to a Domino server' followed by Next.
Look for 'How Do You Want to Connect to a Domino Server' page, and from it choose 'Set up a connection to a local area network (LAN)', followed by Next.
You will then go to 'Domino Server Network Information' page, and there , type the name of the Lotus Domino server in the Domino server name text box. Proceed to the 'Please provide specific network information to help locate this server' dialog box, and from there you will need to select TCP/IP. Provide the hostname and then proceed.
Comply to 'User ID file copied to your data directory', by clicking Yes.
Provide the password for the user ID file, and then uncheck the 'Setup instant messaging' and then proceed.
The configuration will notify you that it is complete, and then you will exit.
