Hi,

I have this compatibility issue caused by HP. I have installed the driver compatible with my OS. The CD was provided with the printer and is an official version from HP. Can anyone help me solving this compatibility error? Is something wrong with my PC or the driver?

Thank you!

Since you are using an HP product and you are still using the default driver that comes with the package usually contained in a CD, the best way you can get the latest driver for your printer or scanner is by visiting HP official website or simply visit HP All Products to select your product from the list and download appropriate drivers and utility programs.

Normally, the installers inside the setup CD that came with your printer or scanner are not the latest versions and when you install it on modern operating systems, it may require you to update the driver to improve functionalities and performance. Just visit the link above to see if there is an available driver for your product that works on Mac OS X.

Another way of updating the driver is from Apple because sometimes they release updates for different products. To try this, click on the Apple menu on your desktop and select Software Update. Check if you see an available update for your HP product and then install the update. In case you are prompted, just enter your administrator username and password to continue.

Once installed, restart your computer to finish and apply the update.
