The cmdlet logs on to the mailbox that you specify using the credentials of the account with which you are logged on to the local computer

You need to be assigned permissions before you can run this cmdlet. Although all parameters for this cmdlet are listed in this topic, you may not have access to some parameters if they are not included in the permissions assigned to you. The cmdlet that you should use is the Test-MapiConnectivity, which confirms the functionality of server.
