Hello experts,

Today I made a fresh install on my laptop with Windwos 7 and when I want to install AutoCAD 2014 Civil 3D this error appeared. I have the original CD and license and I was expected that I could install the program again. Can anyone help me with this ? Why I cannot install ? Should I buy a new cd-key ?

Thank you !

Make sure the application you install supports your operating system and that your computer meets the necessary requirements for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014. Unfortunately, installing AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014 requires a 64-bit operating system. Though Microsoft Windows 7 is supported, it requires x64 Microsoft Windows 7 [Enterprise, Ultimate, or Professional]. It doesn’t run on x86 or 32-bit operating system.

You don’t need to purchase a new CD key or license code for the software because it doesn’t have a problem. The problem is with your operating system. I don’t think you will have a problem with the processor because it can run on at least Pentium 4 3.0 GHz processor but it requires 8 GB RAM since it is in 64-bit.

I’m not sure if they have a 32-bit version of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014 because their website only provides information for the 64-bit but in case they don’t, you can fix it by installing 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7. That means you need to upgrade your whole system because upgrading the system to 64-bit doesn’t only mean changing the operating system. Your entire CPU needs to be 64-bit.

If upgrading your system to 64-bit is not an option, install AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 instead because it supports both x86 and x64 operating systems.
