Hi expert friends,
I got this error message when I try to compose a project in Camtasia studio. I checked the size of the videos on the timeline they all have smaller dimensions. I do not understand why I get this error message. I am not able to track the error. How do I fix this error message? Please guide me.
Error: E_OUT_OF_MEMORY has been returned when trying to write the file. This may be caused by videos with large dimensions on the timeline. Please verify that all videos on the timeline have dimensions of 1280×1024 or less. If you have entered very large dimensions as a custom size for your output file this may also cause problems. Using videos with smaller dimensions on the timeline will lessen the amount of money required during production.

In order to fix this issue, you have to apply a patch that is available for Windows 7 and Vista platform only.
Update your Camtasia Studio to the latest version. Download the updater from here or use “Help” menu from the main window of Camtasia Studio to update to the latest version.
Quit Camtasia Studio and all of its processes. If you still have any running processes, kill them from Task Manager. Launch Task Manager by pressing “Ctrl + Shift + Esc” and kill the processes.
Download the patch and extract it to anywhere inside your PC.
Browse for the installation folder of Camtasia Studio. Generally, the default installation directory is “C:Program Files (x86)TechSmithCamtasia Studio 7”.
Copy and paste the patch files inside the directory. If any confliction found, overwrite the existing files with the new patch files.
Now, the error should disappear and won’t annoy you again.
