Cannot download the new malicious software removal tool

When I was trying to download the new malicious software removal tool from the Microsoft website, this error message popped up: “This download has been blocked by your security zone policy.”

How can I fix this? Any idea will be appreciated.

May I know the Operating System to which you are at work?

Let me guess its Windows XP.

The security zone policy means to the firewall protection and the latest security updates in your computer. Open Control Panel and then open Windows firewall and automatic updates. At exceptions of Windows firewall, you have to add the port for the software removal tool at Microsoft website. Enable Automatic updates.

Next you have your browser. Make the site trusted. Go to options and then trusted sited. Check that you have made the site trusted. Now restart your machine and then continue download. The download should start.
