HI.

I suppose you already know the main use and purpose of WiMAX, since it`s a very much used around the world. It can establish a broadband connection across towns, cities and states through all kinds of devices. To complete all of this, what is actually needed is an antenna. I suggest you check on this website, https://www.advexplore.com/?dn=wimax.com&pid=9PO2H3067.
The site contains data on all types of antennas that WiMAX uses, their range, power and stuff like that. I think that the site contains info that you need to proceed on.

I hope this helps.

WiMAX technology is founded on the IEEE 802.16 standard which enables the distribution of wireless broadband services anytime and anywhere. WiMAX is a short term used for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access. WiMAX products can hold mobile and fixed usage models over a variety of applications. The development of the IEEE 802.16 standard was designed to carry non-line-of-sight (NLoS) connectivity between a base station and a subscriber station.

WiMAX can deliver 30 to 40 megabit-per-second data rates and this is with the update done in 2011 that provides up to 1 Gbit/s for fixed stations. It was the WiMAX Forum that created the “WiMAX” name. WiMAX Forum was formed in June 2001 to encourage interoperability and conformity of the standard. The original IEEE 802.16 standard, which is now called Fixed WiMAX, was published in 2001.

Some of the technology behind WiMAX was adopted from a service marketed in Korea called WiBro. WiMAX can give mobile or home internet access over entire countries or cities. The Mobile WiMAX was a substitute candidate for cellular phone technologies like CDMA and GSM. It can also be used as an overlay to expand capacity. Both in developing and already developed countries Fixed WiMAX is also considered as a wireless backhaul technology for 2G, 3G, and 4G networks.
