I’m looking for a very nice open source WLAN controller and I heard “chillispot” is a good one. I still need more advice on whether to go for chillispot or not.

If you are looking for a WLAN controller, chillispot is the one you must go for. There is no doubt about it. It authenticates the users of a wireless LAN. You need a few things to start your own Hotspot;

1) Internet connection

2) A web server

3) Chillispot software

4) Wireless LAN access point

5) A radius server

Note: – This software is available only for Linux. So this is one important thing.
