Blackberry Torch 9800 Email Setup

Hello! I have blackberry torch 9800 and when trying to go for an email setup in this phone, the following message pops up "Please enter your activation code" Now the questions is, what is my activation code? I really have no idea what it is and what I have to enter as a code. Can someone help me how do I find my activation code. Thanks in advance!

Blackberry Torch 9800 Email Setup

You only need an Activation Code / Password if you are trying to set up a Corporate Email Account.  You will need to have BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) data plan activated.  Call your Service Provider to activate BES if it is required. You will get your Activation Code / Password from you IT Administrator and you will need this code to link your Blackberry with your work email account.  Only your IT department can configure BES.

Enter the Activation Code / Password that your IT Administrator gave you, as shown below, and click “Activate” to setup your work email:

 

The screenshot below is an example of what your screen will look like after you have typed in the correct information:

To set up Gmail/Hotmail/Yahoo etc.: Call your service provider and make sure that you are registered for BIS (Blackberry Internet Service).  If you are, then go to “Options”>”Advanced Options”>”Host Routing Table”; press the Blackberry button and click on “Register Now”.
