BIOS Says No Hard Drive Found?

I have no way to access my hard drive because it keeps coming up and saying  that the BIOS does not recognize my drive. Is this the drive failing or something that is set up in my BOIS? I am not a real techie person but need to get this fixed somehow.

BIOS Says No Hard Drive Found?

Hi Donald,

1 The Hard disk drive needs to be disconnected, battery should be removed from the motherboard thereby clearing the cmos.
2 The battery should be seated back in its position and HDD connected, SATA mode needs to be modified to the IDE of the port ,the HDD is connected to.
3 Save BIOS settings and BIOS needs to be re-booted.

The Port Mode should be IDE emulation if Win XP is being installed. If its Win 7, SATA Port Mode should be set to AHCI.

Check if BIOS is able to detect the drive.

Regards,
Anyet
