Hello ally,

After successful download and installation of Autodesk AutoCAD 2014 I am facing an error. This error looks weird to me and it aborts the AutoCAD. I don’t know much about this error, why it happened? So I have attached the error images. Please help me to find the root cause of this error. Thanks a lot.

If you are using Microsoft Windows 8, you should not have any problem because it is supported as long as it is not 8.1. Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 are different and an application that works on Windows 8 may not work on Windows 8.1. The error you have in Autodesk AutoCAD 2014 is a fatal error which is very common on errors pointing to incompatibility.

Try restarting your computer and run it again. If the program throws a fatal error again the same with the previous one you had then it is probably incompatible. Make sure you meet the program’s requirements to make it work. For Autodesk AutoCAD 2014, it supports x86 and x64 Windows XP [Professional or Home] Service Pack 3, Windows 7 [Enterprise, Ultimate, Professional, or Home Premium], and Windows 8 [Standard, Enterprise, or Professional].

When using x64 Autodesk AutoCAD 2014 on Windows XP, it requires x64 Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 and higher. I don’t think you will have a hardware problem because the program doesn’t have high specifications on hardware components so I’m sure you’re fine on the hardware side. Try reinstalling Autodesk AutoCAD 2014 and make sure you are not running Microsoft Windows 8.1.
