Amazon Kindle Fire complains of No Space

Why is my amazon kindle fire HD 7 rejecting new files? The tablet said there is no more storage space on the tab, but all the files on the kindle fire memory is 6 gigabytes and the tablet storage capacity is 8 gigabytes. How can I assess the remaining 2 gig space that was restricted by the device?

Don't worry there's no problem with your device. The thing is though
internal memory is mentioned as 8 GB only 4.7 GB is usable; for 16 GB
only 12 GB is usable and it's clearly mentioned even in the official website of Amazon.
You can't access the remaining 2 GB for the storage and am sorry 
for that.
