Hello,

I have the Premiere 9 elements on my Mac but I have a problem with all mp4 video types. When I try to open them there is always an error which I managed to get a screenshot of and is now attached below. If anyone has suggestions on this please help.

Unable to load movie

The selected file cannot be played because your system does not have the required compresser/Decompresser(Codec) installed.

Hi Isaac

These compress/decompress are computer programs that let you shrink large video files to a playable one to your computer.

Because video files are so large it needs to be shrink.

I suggest you to download a mp4 codec by this you can play your videos without any Problems.

There is no codec installed to run the file that you are trying to open.

Download K-Lite Codec Pack Basic. It will install codecs for playing almost all popular media files. Then, try to open the file again.

Also, download the latest version of Adobe Premier. This is the best choice because newer versions come with the latest fixed issues and also enhanced with thousands of new features.
