Is 7.0.3 codes works in Windows 2008?

7.0.3 on Windows 2008. Our company wants to upgrade our servers from Windows ’03 to ’08.  Our Lotus Notes servers still run on 7.0.3 and we are slowly upgrading it to 8.5.1 FP3.  We are also replacing some hardware.  Our problem is that the servers cannot be advanced to version 8.5.1.  I want to test if the codes in 7.0.3 works in Windows ’08 but it won’t even start.  Has anyone tried this?

Is 7.0.3 codes works in Windows 2008?

Hallo Francheska,

I guess the lotus note 7.0.3 codes should be able to work in windows 2008. I do not think upgrading from windows 2007 or any other version to the latest windows version which is 2008 is any way meant to compromise on the application that you have been using. Unless the lotus notes application is specifically meant to be used for windows 7 version and the predecessors, and that information you should be able to find it on the installation CD, then your lotus notes codes should not have problem when used on windows 8.

So you can just run the test and see how lotus notes behave on windows 8. If the setup will not start then you should get another one.
