Major differences oracle 9i\10G\11G

Oracle is an extremely accepted database management scheme. Lots of editions are on hand and put into practice in organizations. Organizations are practicing Oracle for making applications and websites for a period of thirty years or more.

It is fundamentally used on behalf of the basis that it assists in the efficient management of huge quantities of data. First of all, it is used for the reason that it is platform free and can be used on every platform. Oracle grants a lot of options and is very dependable. Extensive ranges of options are presented which makes it easier to be used in a lot of industry with great efficiency.

Oracle 10g is the superior edition of Oracle 9i. The major difference between Oracle 9i and 10g is that Oracle 10g is a database which uses lattice computing in the most commercial method to categorize the data. Moreover, Transparent Data Encryption and Passwords for DB Links provide more powerful encryption for data. A-sync consigns CONNECT ROLE not only for connections but also does a lot. New asmcmd utility and self-tuning features provide great support for managing data. Automated Storage Management (ASM) took part as an addition to the clustering feature performance and scalability improved a lot morethan inany previous version. 10g also provides the following features in addition:

  • Automatic Workload Repository (AWR)
  • 'drop database' statement
  • Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor (ADDM)
  • UNDROP a table from a recycle bin
  • rename Table-space
  • transport Table-space across machine types (E.g. Windows to Unix)
  • Flashback operation on transaction, table or database level

Oracle 11g is the superior edition of Oracle 10g. In little 11g is totally different to 8i. 11g has a secure file option which is an improvement to LOBs which allows conventional files to be accumulated in the database. Oracle 11g has enhanced multimedia options by which inside the database it increases the functionality of images and video. There are many improved enhancements to the 3D and spatial package. Previous efforts to allow compilation of PL/SQL actions have been frail. Now, the PL/SQL basis is translated in a straight line into a DLL (or asimilar concept on the target OS). Linking is not mandatory.

The new release also has an extreme XML improvement. This should be much more able to attract people who used to work with XML features. 11g also has Java enhancement which enables Java features. Oracle is declaring 70% development on read rigorous workloads lying on this release. Needless to say, OEL/Grid Control enhancements are much nicer and better than 10g. It was previously claimed as pain. The presentation tools are, at this time, much more RAC responsive.  ASM is now aware while running RAC and lets a limited read to happen on mirrored ASM volumes. There are some additional features of 11g that were not presented previously,

  • Facility to online redefine chart that have occurred view logs.

  •  New errors diagnose structure to avoid, detect and resolve vital database errors.
