Broadband Internet DSL 1 MB

I have purchased a 1 MB (or 1024 KB) DSL internet service from a provider of DSL Broadband Internet.

But why does my 1024 KB internet only allow a 120 KB/s download of any file?

Isn’t it supposed to provide 1024 KB/s download speed?
