Hi Shelly,

  • /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/bin/

  • apachectl: line 70: ulimit: open files:

  • cannot modify limit: invalid argument

  • Base on this error message that you’ve paste there is a problem that you did. I don’t know the exact meaning of the argument saying by the error. As I analyze on this error and in your text or in your explanation. The ulimit cannot modify in this terms of error you did something wrong about in your system. or you deleted some of the files in this application. So I suggest do to your recycle bin and restore all your deleted files in there. At this action you can recover some of your files. This would help.

Thanks,

If you don't have any problem working with your web data before, the problem would be in your web designing tool.

I think a portion of the XAMPP software permanently crashed, and when you are already doing the project, it can not handle the loaded data that is why it is giving an error.

Try uninstalling XAMPP then run a disk check afterwards.

  1. Right-click on drive C and then choose Properties.
  2. Click on Tools tab.
  3. Under Error checking, hit on the Check Now button.
  4. Choose Automatically fix file system errors under Check disk options.
  5. Click the Start button to start checking your hard drive.

Wait for it to finish then install again XAMPP afterwards.

It has a fresh configuration now I’m sure it will run normally again.
